Make sure the computer is on and no other programs are running. Insert the CD that came with the printer and allow the printer software to add the proper print drivers to your computer. Connect the power cord for the printer to the printer and plug it in. Connect the printer cable to the printer. The printer cable can be one of two types: a USB cord or parallel cable.
